The "Shishi" or "fu" (sometimes spelled "foo") dogs are the stone guardian lions of Chinese legend and a traditional ornament for many different types of buildings. They can be seen flanking the entrances and gates of both public and private structures.
Each statue is masterfully crafted from magnesium and finished in a gorgeous antique bronze. Place yours in front of your guarded home and attract guests with their fierce presence. Each statue sits on a platform as to be elevated off the ground as tradition calls for.

Fu Dog Feng Shui:
Notice: While you can display your items any way you like, according to feng shui, there is a right way and a wrong way to display your Fu Dog set. When facing the statues, the female should always be on the left and the male always on the right. You can identify the female by the baby pup under her paw, whereas the male has a ball under his paw. Everything about the fu dog is symbolic and representative of protection. According to some, the female represents yin and defending the inhabitants of the home or building, her pup representing the nurturing spirit of a mother. The male represents yang and defending of the home or building itself, where the ball under his paw symbolizes the world. Pair should be positioned symmetrically on either side of door or pathway facing away from the home guarding the entrance. When possible, place them on pedestals or platforms, not directly on ground for greater symbolic power.
